Climate & Environment

  • We invest in buildings, installing sustainable building components like solar panels, LED lighting, smart metering and water saving features
  • We collect and report transparent information on the performance of our buildings, and seek to improve this over time
  • We have secured high standards of certification, externally validating the positive sustainability credentials of our workplaces

Health and Wellbeing

  • We operate buildings which are enjoyable to be in, and where occupier wellbeing is high priority 
  • We provide high quality end of journey facilities, with secure cycle parking, and promote the use of active travel 
  • We offer engagement initiatives to occupiers in our buildings; recent examples have included cycle maintenance advice and free health checks 

Biodiversity

  • We know that our buildings can have positive impacts on their immediate surroundings 
  • We implement initiatives such as green roofs and internal/external planting, to improve the biodiversity and occupier experience  
  • Other examples within the portfolio have included beehives, bird and bat boxes, roof terraces and green walls

Community

  • We aim to provide a thriving environment for occupiers, and give opportunities for them to meet and collaborate together 
  • We also work to strengthen links with local communities, including small businesses and charities, fostering a strong local connection to the areas we are based
  • Examples include charitable initiatives and supporting local not-for-profit organisations

  • We operate to the highest standards of business ethics and corporate governance processes, and ensure that our local partners match those requirements

Sustainability Certifications

Where investments are made in buildings, we aim to evidence the improvements through 3rd party validation and industry standard certifications. 71% of our buildings already have a global standard certifications (BREEAM/LEED/DGNB), with the remainder having projects underway which will lead to this.

Refurbishment and End of Journey Facilities

Alongside investment in refurbishment to Level 7, receptions and common parts, a significant new end of journey facility has been created. This incorporates secure cycle storage, lockers, and high-quality shower and changing facilities, and also incorporates a Peleton studio, which is free to use for occupiers. We even organised cycle maintenance classes, to encourage occupiers to consider healthy active travel options, with fantastic feedback.
